Pro Bono Representation And How To Find It
What Does Pro Bono Mean?
Pro Bono is short for Pro Bono Publico, which means "for the public good" in Latin. The term is generally used for free professional services or low-cost ones, and it's mainly used in the legal profession.
Lawyers who provide free legal services to those in need are doing this on a pro bono basis for serving the public interest rather than profits. According to ABA (American Bar Association), all lawyers in the US are suggested under ethical rules to contribute at least 50 hours per year to pro bono services.
